What is a blog without its visitors?
Getting traffic to your blog or website is something that most new bloggers and entrepreneurs focus on.
Even some of the greatest companies in the world continue to market their brands no matter how successful they are.
Therefore, It is your job to always consider marketing as one of the most valuable duties in your business.
If you haven’t started your blog yet, the first thing you will need to do is invest in website hosting. The hosting service that I am with is Bluehost which includes WordPress for my blog! Now back to the point.
Let’s face it? More traffic on your website equals more revenue in your pockets.
The question is where and how can you get traffic quickly and lots of it?
How to get organic traffic?
Organic traffic is traffic that you receive when people find your website based on organic search. Organic searches occur on a search engine such as Google or Bing. Organic traffic is an unpaid traffic source that is directed to your website with the help of Seo/Search engine optimization.
As a blogger, it is your job to include Seo practices on every single blog post which will help you receive organic traffic.
Seo/Search engine optimization is important to add to every blog post because when people are searching for keywords, your website may come up!
Just simply taking the time out to make every blog post optimized is worth the time even if it takes a while to rank your post on google.
There are many ways to get your blog post to show up on Google and other search engines.
One of my favorite methods is producing fresh content to pin on Pinterest which assists me with maximizing reach on my blog.
If you want to maximize your reach towards your target audience, then I advise you to keep reading.

Pinterest Traffic
Pinterest is one of the best social media websites for bloggers to get traffic in my opinion.
I started my blog a few months ago and have already received many blog visits and subscribers straight from Pinterest.
I’m so thankful for Pinterest because it is the reason that I have gained knowledge on how to start a money-making blog.
How do I create a Pinterest pin?
There are many apps and websites that offer photo editing, but my favorite website for pin creation is canva.
Canva has a special feature that allows you to scroll or type in Pinterest to create a pin.
This layout is the preferred size (1000 x 1500px) for a Pinterest pin on Pinterest so all you have to do is design it.
There You have it! Now you are ready to start pinning!
From here it’s your job to categorize your pins into your own boards.
After you have created your own boards filled with relevant pins, you can start to apply for membership with popular group boards.
Group boards are boards that offer niche-targeted content that you would contribute on-topic pins to as well as share pins from other bloggers.
These group boards are categorized by topics and filled with contributors who post content on the group board as well.
Follow the rules that the owner set to become a contributor and you will be able to market your blog there.
Repeat this process as much as possible to build your list of boards you can market on.
Due to the large number of boards I belong to, I use Tailwind to automate my Pinterest marketing.
This saves a TON of time!
What is Tailwind
Tailwind is the smartest way to manage your presence across the visual web (Pinterest & Instagram), and offers a complete suite of marketing tools including Smart Scheduling, Analytics & Monitoring, Content Discovery, Education, Tailwind community, Hashtag Suggestions and more.
Check out the details here
What features does Tailwind offer you for Pinterest?
- You can add your Pins to SmartLoop once and Tailwind will re-circulate them for you indefinitely.
- You can see what’s working at a glance with Pin Inspector & Board Insights.
- Spread content out over weeks with Interval Pinning & a drag-and-drop calendar.
- Put all those idle Pins back to work. Tailwind will even import your best-performing Pins for you.
Tailwind also has its own marketing groups called Tailwind communities.
Tailwind communities are groups you can join on tailwind within the niche you are writing about or products you are selling. For instance, you can search for a tribe community on food or fashion, from there you can request to join that community and market!
Tailwind communities gave my blog massive traffic the very first week of joining them. Tailwind encourages the power of sharing regardless of being a new or aged blogger.
It makes things so much easier than manually pinning my pins on Pinterest.
If you want to automate your marketing on Pinterest, I highly recommend this system which leaves you more time for content creation.
Using this marketing strategy, I was able to get traffic to my website immediately.
There are many social media platforms that you can also market on, but due to my experience, Pinterest works best for me.
How many pins should I make for each Blog post?
All of the blog posts that you have already written and products you are promoting should have at least 2 Pinterest pins each to market. I usually create 4 or 5 pins for each post as I know that fresh content on Pinterest is the way to expand the reach of my blog.
Pinterest is a very visual social media, therefore, creating multiple versions of a pin will help you attract the eyes that you missed out on with your other Pinterest pins.
The quality of your pins matter so if you can create multiple pins that are high-quality, then you have a better chance than someone making multiple low-quality pins.
Importantly, content is the main currency of a blogger. I say this because having fresh high-quality content is the key to attracting your audience.
Tailwind also has a new feature that will help you create multiple versions of a pin for you so that you can save time on designing and focus more on written content creation as a blogger check it out here!
What is fresh content?
Fresh content on Pinterest is basically a completely new image/pin.
This doesn’t mean that you should only make minor changes in a pin that you already created. If there is no visible difference then do your best to arrange certain details to make your pin look completely new.
This is why Tailwind Create is a great feature to use to help with creating different designs quickly!
You can use a completely different Image or make it appear as if you are using a different image with editing such as cropping, angling, and zoom.
Here is an example of one of the pins that I recreated
Both pins have the same exact text, but different stickers.
I’ve e changed some of the text and the main image on this pin, but I kept the same layout.
Along with, pins that are already linked to your blog post, pages on your website, or even product listings, as long as you create a new image for it, Pinterest receives your pin as fresh content.
Lucy Matthews, which is the Programs Partnership Manager at Pinterest, claims that “fresh content is favorable for the algorithm on Pinterest.”
Pinterest values new and relevant content for pinners which is more likely to be promoted to your audience on the home feed and search results.
Does it cost to market on Pinterest
Pinterest is a free social media platform, which you can also purchase ads on
So…Yes you can spend money on ads for marketing your blog post or products, but you don’t have to.
I have not purchased ads on Pinterest quite yet and I am still very pleased with the traffic that Tailwind sends to my blog.
In the future, I do plan on investing in Pinterest ads as well as many other Social media ads.
Your goal is to find those gold mine spots to get your blog seen, then execute a plan.
Like I said before. The only paid marketing I use is with Tailwind to automate my Pinterest pinning.
Tailwind allows me to market my blog even when I’m sleeping or creating new content.
Whenever I go along with my day there is no worry as to how am I marketing my blog because Tailwind does all the work for you.
It even has a smart loop feature that decides on the best marketing time for your pins to be scheduled for pinning!
If you are anyway like myself, there are so many things that I can occupy my time with during the day. I must say a little help with running my business on autopilot is the best thing that I could ask for.
You can Sign up for Tailwind today for a free round of 100 scheduled pins or 30 scheduled Instagram Posts to see how beneficial this service is.
How much does it cost to have Tailwind for Pinterest or Instagram?
It cost $15 per month per social account. You can get the annual Plus plan for $119 per year per social account. I only use Tailwind for Pinterest scheduling at the moment, but I am looking forward to adding an Instagram account as well!
Get creative and spoil your readers with fresh content that they can’t resist engaging with, then let Tailwind do all the marketing for you!
